Paul Tolnai: Icicle Power User and Business Development Manager
Many in the local BC food industry might recognize Paul Tolnai from P&S Frozen Foods where he managed operations for many years. Growing up in a family-owned food business taught Paul many valuable lessons, while also growing his appreciation for the industry.
“The food industry has to be the kindest industry ever,” he noted. “It’s not as cut-throat as others, and people truly help each other success. I think it’s because we all want to please people and know the way to a person’s heart is through their stomach.”
After graduating from BCIT’s Broadcast Journalism program, Paul worked as a news producer at News 1130 for a number of years before deciding to join the family business with his mom 20 years ago. He has since sold the company to pursue new opportunities. Luckily for us, this meant joining Icicle as Business Development Manager!
Paul has always been passionate about food safety and efficiency. An Icicle user since 2011, Paul has been instrumental in helping shape Icicle into what it is today. We have added a number of features to meet the needs of highly regulated meat processing companies with his valuable feedback. Paul has extensive hands-on experience using Icicle through many required audits and constantly changing regulatory environments. He is excited to introduce Icicle to food companies to help make their lives easier.
In his free time at home, Paul (a.k.a. DJ Tiny) enjoys mixing beats and spending quality time with family. He can’t wait for lockdowns to be behind us so he can travel and adventure again.
